DES has Awagami down to a Fine Art.

27-Feb-2015 DES has Awagami down to a Fine Art.

Awagami is a small, family owned paper mill from Tokushima, Japan that crafts paper using traditional handmade techniques as they have for over 300 years. They are one of the few remaining traditional paper mills making Washi (Japanese paper) in Japan.

The Awagami Inkjet Paper collection is intended for high quality inkjet printing for photographers, fine artists and designers alike. All papers are archival, pH-neutral, museum quality and absolutely free of optical brighteners. The papers are subtly coated at the mill to allow for beautiful reproductions without sacrificing the tactile expressiveness of true Japanese washi.

Watch the videos to fine out more about the truly unique qualities of Awagami Inkjet Paper and witness the handmade process.

Both Awagami’s handmade and machine made 'A.I.J.P' collections are now available at DES. The highly expressionistic range is available in postcard and sheet sizes ranging from A1 to A4, while the sublime machine made range is available in both sheets and rolls up to 1118mm wide.
