Australian Wrap Talent Set for World Final in France
Travel played a significant role in the PWS battle held following the Daniel Gherini Apprentice Scholarship training in Melbourne, with contestants travelling from across Australia to compete for the opportunity to represent the country on the world stage.
Contestants travelled from Mackay in Queensland, the Gold Coast, Griffith in New South Wales and Melbourne, all eager to demonstrate that they had what it takes to compete against the world’s best.
Competition remained tight throughout the day, with the final results coming down to the last installation. The battle for first and second place was so close that a countback on total installation time was required to separate the two leading contestants.
Third place was also narrowly decided. The third-place contestant recorded the same application time as the second-place finisher, with just a handful of points separating the two.
With a smaller field of competitors, the top three earned the opportunity to travel to France in mid-September to compete in the world final.

- Truman Pavone – Pavone Auto, Gold Coast
- Jhonny Aponte – Firewrapz, Gold Coast
Matt Jordan, Mia Saker and Bo Grace will now travel to Frontignan in the south of France, where they will compete in the world final alongside approximately 50 contestants from across Europe and the USA.
The Australian representatives will face competitors who have progressed through a series of highly competitive regional finals held around the globe.
The Australian wrap industry will be watching closely as Matt, Mia and Bo take on the world’s best, with HEXIS proudly supporting their efforts in France.
