HP Launches the HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press

HP has used the Dscoop event in Colorado to launch the new HP Indigo 7K+ press, as well as new Automated Mobile Robots and updates to its AI-powered software solutions
HP has used the Dscoop Edge Rockies digital print conference to unveil new AI-driven software and press innovations designed to help commercial PSPs unlock profitable growth.
The launch took please at Dscoop Edge Rockies held in Colorado, USA, with attendees able to explore new automation technology, attend expert-led education sessions, and network with industry peers.
Among the announcements, the print press manufacturer has launched the new HP Indigo 7K+ mid-range A3 commercial print digital press.
Built on HP Indigo’s 7X00 platform which more than 2,200 presses worldwide already run on, the new press has been developed to deliver enhanced cost efficiency, versatility, and operational simplicity by aligning with HP’s broader vision for “nonstop digital printing.”
Noam Zilbershtain, vice president and general manager for HP Indigo, says: “Our nonstop digital printing journey continues at full speed.
“At Dscoop, we’re demonstrating once again that innovation at HP Indigo never stands still. With the introduction of the HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press, we are strengthening our commitment to the commercial A3 market while accelerating momentum across commercial B2, labels, and flexible packaging.”
The new HP Indigo 7K+ is designed to address mid-range customers’ needs for higher automation and operational simplicity, along with better economics and flexible print mode options, to support both high margin specialty applications and cost-efficient everyday jobs.
The 7K+ incorporates on-press automation and AI tools that aim to streamline manual processes and can enable more efficient, data-driven decision-making.
A new ECO Print Mode also provides a more cost-efficient four-color option that uses thinner layers of ink, designed for text-heavy or less image-sensitive jobs.
HP Indigo also announced the addition of new print‑focused Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs), designed through an extended collaboration with MoviĜo Robotics.
For the first time, HP will sell and fully support these AMRs directly, offering a strengthened portfolio that includes AMRs designed for B2 pallets of HP Indigo Commercial sheet-fed presses, as well as postal pallets, carts, and racks.
Explaining the impact of the AMRs to production, Adam Carnell, co-chief executive officer of Bluetree Group, says: “MoviĜo has fundamentally transformed how movement works inside our factory.
“Instead of designing our processes around fixed constraints, we now have a solution that feels limitless and genuinely tailored to the needs of high‑volume, high‑mix print manufacturing. Adopting robotics early has allowed us to scale smarter, improve flow, and stay ahead as a modern, data‑driven print business.”
In addition, HP has introduced the Indigo 120K Value Pack, available to all HP Indigo 100K customers. The hardware and software upgrade pack has already been installed in a selection of presses across the North American and EMEA regions, with users reporting increased uptime, reliability, and consistent delivery through streamlined hardware and software enhancements.
Haim Levit, senior vice president and division president at HP Industrial Print, says: “As digital print scales to meet new demands, our customers are no longer buying presses alone – they’re investing in outcomes: predictable productivity and speed at scale.
“At Dscoop Edge Rockies, we’re showing how our commitment to nonstop digital printing delivers those outcomes by connecting press innovation, intelligent workflows, and AI driven reliability across the entire production lifecycle.”
HP additionally will use Dscoop to mark 10 years of HP PrintOS, the cloud-based print production operating system which now connects thousands of HP devices worldwide.
HP Nio, the AI-powered production intelligence solution which builds on the foundation of HP PrintOS, is now commercially available, introducing a conversational AI experience that aims to transform real-time production data and technical knowledge into clear, actionable guidance.
Diana Pascual Soldevilla, general manager at HP Industrial Print Software and Solutions, adds: “Our focus is on human-centric intelligent automation, where AI augments people rather than replaces them.
“With HP PrintOS and HP Nio, we’re turning data into clarity, helping teams understand what’s happening across their production environment and giving them the confidence to act faster, with greater control and less effort.”
HP will preview a rebuilt HP PrintOS Mobile App at Dscoop, which reportedly delivers improved performance, a unified user experience, and deeper HP Site Flow integration. Dscoop attendees will have early access to the preview and the opportunity to provide feedback ahead of full rollout later in 2026.
